Women-Led Shows You Should Try!

Here is a list of four fantastic, strong female characters to get inspired from. These women are from different backgrounds and are playing varied roles, sometimes, all at once.

Fate: The Winx Saga

We’re starting with some magic and wonders with ‘Fate: The Winx Saga’. The series is about five fairies who attend Alfea, a magical boarding school, to learn about their powers and how to master the arts of the world of magic.

They encounter love and friendships and enemies who are ready to kill. It is a teen drama series produced by Archery Pictures and distributed by Netflix.

The Crown

This one is a little too famous for you to not know about it given the controversy surrounding it. The series is based on the monarchy of Great Britain and mainly revolves around the life of Queen Elizabeth II- personal and political. The succeeding seasons cover the lives of her children and grandchildren and how they navigate their lives personally and in front of the public.

And yes, the story of Princess Diana and Prince Charles of Wales is covered in the later seasons, if that’s what you’re wondering. There is still a lot of dilemma about the extent of truth and accuracy to the series.

Bridgerton

This romantic drama series has been inspired by the book series by Julia Quinn ‘Bridgerton’. Created by Shonda Rhimes, the series took no time to top the charts and win the heart of the audience.

The story is about the crème a la da crème families of London and how they prepare their children to ‘debut’ in society to find their partners for marriage. The lead Daphne falls in love with a Duke and they want to do opposite things in life. The scandals and twists are bound to keep you engaged throughout!

However, she soon meets someone with mind-controlling powers who changes her life and derails every aspect of it. After having spent years as this man’s sex slave, this story is about how she takes charge of her life and turns it for the good.
